Dr. J. Scott Long, Chancellor's Professor of Sociology & Statistics, as well as the Associate Vice Provost for Research of Indiana University will deliver the 2007 - 2008 WST Distinguished Lecture entitled "From Scarcity to Visibility: The changing presence and participation of women in science." Reception to follow lecture -- held in Student Success Center.

WST lunch (provided) & discussion will be lead by Anne Walsh (LCC) on the topic of "Not Our Fathers' Union: The Emergence of Women's Unions in Japan." The event will be held in the Student Success Center, President's Suite C.
Wednesday, April 16, 2008; 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Dr. Gilda Barabino (BME) and Cheryl Leggon (Public Policy) will discuss their ADVANCE project at the Student Success Center in President's Suite C.

The WST Center, Women's Resource Center, and ADVANCE are hosting a reception for new faculty members and WST Learning Community students in the Georgia Tech Library. Refreshments will be served.
Thursday, October 4, 2007; 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
WST lunch (provided) & panel on the topic of gender and teaching. The panel will feature Adju Amekudzi (CE), Michelle Dion (INTA), and Mark Guzdial (CoC). The event will be held in the Student Success Center, President's Suite C.
