The Women, Science, and Technology Learning Community (WST Lrn C) is an innovative joint venture of the Center for the Study of Women, Science, and Technology (WST Center) and the Georgia Tech Department of Housing. The WST Learning Community enhances the academic and professional development of GT undergraduates by creating networks for students and for student and faculty interaction.

Modelled on residence hall programs for women in science and engineering, the WST Lrn C offers programs addressing personal and professional issues for women students entering scientific and technological fields. Female undergraduates from any major interested in the programs of the WST Center are eligible to apply in spring for housing in the WST Lrn C.

WST residence halls are located at the Stein House and the Goldin House on the 4th street & Techwood, and a few apartments on the Center Street. The 4th St. residents share a bathroom with one roommate. Each Center St. apartment houses four students assigned single rooms who share two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room.

We are not accepting any more applications. Here is the copy of WST Lrn C application from last year (2008).

Each fall and spring WST offers undergraduate research opportunities in gender, science, and technology for part-time pay. WST Faculty Research areas are listed at http://www.wst.gatech.edu/area.html. Please contact WST Co-Directors Mary Frank Fox, Carol Colatrella, or Mary Lynn Realff.
